All of the software that is available for installation in cPanel meets the technical requirements.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to install an application that isn\u2019t available through our automatic installer tool, then you\u2019ll have to be determine if the server can support it. First, check the technical requirements for the application to determine if it can run on a LAMP server.<\/p>\n<p>Your space at digitalscholarship.brown.edu should come with AT LEAST the following versions of the LAMP components, which can help you determine if an unsupported application you want to add to your domain might be compatible:<\/p>\n<p>Linux: CentOS 7 with linux kernel 3.10.0-957.21.3.el7.x86_64<br \/>\nApache: 2.4.46<br \/>\nMySQL: 5.7.31<br \/>\nPHP: 7.2.33<br \/>\nPerl: 5.16.3<br \/>\nPython: 2.7.5<\/p>\n<p>You should also do some research to see if there are additional services or modules that need to be installed on the server. Some software may require components that aren\u2019t included in the default installation of the LAMP stack.
